To commemorate my awesome week (check out my previous post if you missed the slightly hidden good news), I rewarded myself with a little present. While overwhelmed at how much I have to learn - ISO, f stops, and exposure, oh my! - I couldn't be happier with my new baby, my Nikon D3100.
Stuffed animals are cute subjects to practice on, but I decided to up the ante and try something a bit more mobile. Fortunately my sister's best friend (who I've known for 20 years) let me use her precious week old baby! This little guy gave me quite the case of baby rabies.
(Disclaimer: I'm a day into using this equipment -- with only the kit lens -- so don't expect anything very good!)
And once I can figure out how to do full-length self portraits and/or buy a tripod, expect my little space of the interwebz to live up to its subtitle come April 1. :)
