OOTD: A Little Marilyn-ish

"I was thinking, if we have a kid, he's going to have to be a wrestler or something. Because I'm short for a guy, and you're short for.... anything."

It finally happened. My oldest niece, at age 11, is officially taller than her aunt. Coupled this with the above comment from my husband this morning, I'm feeling very diminutive in stature (not width unfortunately). And old.

Dress: Ann Taylor Loft
Tank: Target long and lean beater
Shoes: Target silver sequined flops

I kind of hate wearing tanks under dresses, but without it I'd be well beyond the bounds of decency. Today's dress is a little Marilyn reminiscent with the halter-style neckline and slightly pleated skirt. And hey, Marilyn Monroe wasn't exactly a leggy Amazonian kind of lady either.  Short sisters unite.

  5. MsHark, thanks! You'll have to do an OOTD of your JCrew dress so we can compare. :)
