OOTD: Hello, Spring Uniform

First day of April and first day of rockin' the bare legs. While it's supposed to be a delightful 72 degrees and sunny, I had a frigid 40 degree drive in to work this morning. :-/

Dress, lightweight cardi, and flip flops are my standard Spring outfit of choice. Today's dress has a little backstory: I fell in love with it when I saw it on fashion blogger Sweet Tea in Seattle. But it wasn't listed online and I traveled to two Targets to find it. I ended up having to size up with the the plan of having it altered by my seamstress, but that never happened. Eh, at least it's comfy.

Dress: Merona, Target

Cardi: Xhiliration, Target

Shoes: trusty ON flops

Conversation with husband.
Him: You look very plaid.
Me: It's not plaid; it's houndstooth. 
Him: What?? That sounds like a Halloween costume for a kid.
