Wedding Wednesday Part II

My June bride and groom recently received their CD of images from their photographer, Cardens Photography. While looking through them to select a few for our Facebook page and website, I remembered what a fabulous wedding Tory and Dale had. Not having known the bride for that long, and never having met the groom until 30 minutes before the ceremony, I was struck the whole day by how perfect for each other and how insanely in love these two were. As Tory and Dale read their own vows to each other, I had to stop myself from some watery eyes, and when they took to the dance floor to have their first dance, it was impossible to see just how much they lit up in each others' arms.

Tory did a beautiful job in planning. Choosing a local winery to serve as both the ceremony and reception venue, the bride came up with complementing details to create a romantic, semi-rustic, and intimate event.

The following is just a sample of my favorite images from their day. Enjoy!

OOTDR (Outfit of the Dressing Room)

I tweeted about my latest dress purchase over the weekend and thought I'd share it over here too. While living in middle of nowhere Pennsylvania has its flaws, one of the greatest things about it is being able to find plenty of capsule collections at my local Target. I know some bloggers have said their Targets were cleaned out of the Tucker for Target line fairly quickly. And after seeing so many bloggers show their own finds, I was continually drawn to this one:

I totally wore this dress to work today and FORGOT to snap a pic of how I styled it. To be honest, it wasn't an outstanding styling. I wore gray sweater tights, a skinny brown belt, and my beloved cognac boots. But here's me in the dressing room:

I normally would have never purchased anything like this or in this silky thin fabric, but I couldn't deny the fabulous drape and lines. If you see this dress (in any of its patterns) in your Target, try it on. You may be surprised.

Budget Trench

You know those lists of "10 Essential Pieces to Have in Your Closet"? Most of them include a classic trench in either black or khaki. However it's something I haven't owned for about a decade. So while I was wandering around in Old Navy yesterday,  I spotted a simple trench coat marked down from $50 to $40. I purchased the black because I figured it would pair well with the black and gray pieces I normally gravitate toward in cooler weather.

It's marked $50 online, but you may still be able to find it for $40 in-store.
